We would like to send a big thank you to the team from Yorkshire Building Society who came to help staff and volunteers Bob and John from the West End Centre decorate the Community Centre on Friday. It looks smart and clean again now.
So thank you to Marie, Rachel, Jo, Carolyn and Douggie -who gave up his Birthday to help (we did provide cake!) Marie Longston from YBS who organised the volunteering day says "It was nice to get stuck in. It was amazing how quickly we got the job finished, great teamwork" She also told us how much the team enjoyed lunch with our volunteers and how good it was to get an insight into what we do at the centre.
We were surprised partway through the morning by friends of the centre Shameem, Razina and Sumira who turned up with home cooked food for everyone, stayed for lunch and then helped out by cleaning the centre from top to bottom. Shameen told us " it was a fun day, and good to be able to help".
