Grow for Health and Wealth

Grow for Health and Wealth is a community based project set up to promote healthy living and social inclusion.

In our first year  we won the 'best community garden' award for BD5!

We will be building, learning, growing and cooking on our allotment and are asking for people to get involved. We can cater for, and need people of all types of experience- from amateur to expert, grower to cook!

We also get out and about on Wednesdays, doing a bit of guerrilla gardening in Little Horton and the surrounding areas.

Why do we do it?

Horticulture (growing things) is proven to help combat stress, depression, help build confidence and promote healthy living. The project is also a great introduction to a hobby that will last you a lifetime.

So what can we do for you?

You can learn to grow and care for plant and vegetables, become part of our team and help with the routine running and maintenance of the allotment, perfect for those who don't have time to take their own.

If you are interested in working in Horticulture why not take our new Introduction to working in Horticulture course and gain some valuable work experience at the same time.

Where are we?

We are based at Sunny Bank allotments.

Take your first left after the Red Lion Pub on Manchester Road, behind Richard Dunnes Sports Centre.
