Happy 4th Birthday to our Monday Market! 🎉
Can you believe our Monday Market is 4 years old? Where has the time gone?!
We always look for an excuse to celebrate! So, of course, we had to mark the occasion with a free raffle, butties and to finish it all off… cake! Thanks to our kitchen team you did an amazing job serving over 40 people!!
What started 4 years ago has grown into so much more. Our Monday Market now provides variety low-cost food, preloved clothing, a free breakfast and, just as importantly, a place to come along, meet others and feel part of the community.
We’re really proud of what we’ve achieved and, most of all, of all the people we’ve been able to support through our Monday Market.Thank you to everyone who comes along, shops, supports volunteers and helps make the market what it is.
Thanks to Clare from Foodsavers for calling in to join our celebration and take some time to show our new members of staff Ruth and Liana how to work the system.
This is what you told us:
B Feel very comfortable and the shop really helps my budget
C Friendship and a good food shop
F Enjoy the environment the buzz keeps me on my toes and I enjoy helping others, doing a shop really helps me and I share with others.
B it's the roots we have built here helps us to feel safe and welcome
S Met new people helps with my budget and build food options, good environment and very friendly.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey!
