A Different Kind of Recipe at Cooking Group!
This week, our Cooking Group did things a little differently, instead of getting busy in the kitchen, we had some fun with food related games and challenges.
We started by testing our food knowledge with a game of identifying different fruits, vegetables and meats. There were plenty of things to recognise and name and a few we didn’t know which started some interesting conversations.
Next, everyone had to pick five food items and get creative by coming up with a new recipe using their chosen ingredients. We had some interesting ideas, and who knows, we might even have discovered a few new dishes to try.
Our final game was all about memory. We had a basket full of food items to look at and remember. Then, after a few items were removed, we had to work out what was missing. Easier said than done.
It was a great group full of fun, discussion, creativity and a little bit of brain training along the way.

Who says you have to cook to enjoy Cooking Group? Sometimes it’s just as much fun thinking about food as it is making it.
