Community Tidy up: people can make a difference

West End Centre

Yorkshire Man Dan rallied the troops again today to join in with the community litter pick organised by the Council.   It was a big community effort including the Police, Wardens, clean up team, Council, local residents, the local school and The West End Team and not forgetting our very own therapy dog scruff who is always there to offer support!!

The teams worked on clearing the area around the top of Little Horton Lane, The West Enders collected 12 bags of rubbish!! And they were definitely ready for a well-deserved cuppa when they came back to the centre.  A good days work all round.

We will be holding our very own The Great British Spring Clean (Keep Britain Tidy) litter pick on Tuesday 26th March.  The plan is to be around the local area collecting rubbish with the help of the Council Wardens.   We are looking for more volunteers to give us a helping hand so if you want to help keep the local area tidy, get a bit of exercise or meet new people, meet at the centre at 10am.  Bags, gloves, litter picks are all provided.    Back to the centre afterwards for refreshments.
