What an amazing day with our cooking group!

Everyone played their part, coming together to chop, slice, prepare, and cook while working as a fantastic team. There was a real buzz in the room as people shared skills, supported one another, and enjoyed spending time together.
Today's menu was a delicious cauliflower, chickpea, and potato curry. While the curry simmered away, the group made homemade flatbreads, filling the room with wonderful aromas.
To finish, everyone helped prepare a fresh and colourful fruit salad. The food looked amazing and tasted just as good, but what stood out most was the sense of community.
Seeing people working together, chatting, laughing, and building friendships reminded us that cooking is about much more than preparing a meal. It's about bringing people together, creating connections, and sharing experiences.
A huge well done to everyone involved. The teamwork, enthusiasm, and creativity on display made today a great success. We are already looking forward to the next session

EASY CAULIFLOWER & POTATO CURRY
For 3 – 4 people
½ Cauliflower cut into florets
1 large/ 2 medium Potatoes cut into 1” cubes
Curry base
1 Medium onion thinly sliced
2/3 teaspoon Ground coriander
2/3 teaspoon Turmeric
2/3 teaspoon Ground cumin
2/3 teaspoon Hot curry powder
2 – 3 cloves Garlic (increase slightly if small)
1 tin Chopped tomatoes
2- 3 tablespoons oil to soften the onions
Water to reach required thickness
· Lightly part boil the cauliflower & potatoes then drain into a colander
· In a suitable size pan on a medium heat soften the onions stirring occasionally
· While the onions are softening measure spices into a cup
· When onions have softened add a small amount of water then add the spices stirring continually for a couple of minutes
· Add the chopped tomatoes then bring to a low boil
· Add the drained cauliflower & potato
· Add water to reached required consistency
· Bring to a low boil and allow to simmer stirring occasionally until the potatoes & cauliflower are cooked through
For any easy curry change the vegetables to your preference so for a chicken curry use that instead of potato & cauliflower
