We are in full swing now getting the allotment ready for you all for the coming season. This week we have been clearing out the compost bays and putting the compost onto the beds. Can’t beat a bit of homemade compost.
The big new raised bed has now been filled and is ready for plants. The new polytunnel come temporary staff room is up but we are waiting to do anything more until we know if this rumoured snow is coming.
A big thank you to all our allotment volunteers, and Ken who is up there in all weathers and is never happier than when he has a spade or a drill in his hand!!
To get the rest of the jobs done we need more volunteers to do some digging and tidying, so if you know someone or you can spare sometime on a Tuesday between 9.30am – 12 noon get in touch.
As you may know we also have A Go Fund Me Page as we urgently need to replace our old decking so we have safe space to sit, eat, cook, chat, plant and pot on as well having a good old natter with each other.
