Wow - 8 months of Memory Friends Cafe at the West End Centre.
Here's just a snippet of what's been happening in our groups,
Art Therapy, Movement Games
Interaction fun games.
Gentle seated Exercise,
West End Tennis and Memory fitness games.
Springtime activities with Indoor planting.
Music therapy we had a jive
Meeting new people and somewhere to relax.
A snippet of the present. May 18th Fun outdoor games with refreshments inside ( weather permitting )
What's Next? : Week of 18th to 24th is Dementia action / Awareness week. At West End Centre, Thursday May 21st Afternoon Tea and Bake sale. Sunday 24th 7.2 mile walk from Apperley Bridge with scenic views ( further information on request.) All proceeds will be going to Dementia UK for both these events. Keep an eye on our social media for further Information.

One thing that stood out immediately was how peaceful the environment felt. Eskaton Gold River had staff members who were approachable and willing to explain details clearly to visiting families. My cousin noticed residents participating comfortably in activities and social conversations throughout the building. The community gave us a positive and dependable impression overall.
