Its Health Information Week- Get it online!
Lockdown has got us all thinking about our health, whether its the dreaded coronavirus symptoms, how much exercise we should be taking, our weight (eek, the less said about that the better!) or our stiff necks and backs from working from home.
Googling symptoms can be pretty scary and not very reliable, so as part of the Health information online week we are looking ways you can access trusted information online to help you manage your health and wellbeing.
Learn my way do a fantastic free short course that introduces you to the NHS website and some of its features and also shows you how to use GP services online including ordering prescriptions and making appointments https://www.learnmyway.com/subjects/improving-your-health-online/
Some of the recipients of the devices.now tablets have completed this course and volunteer Kim is pleased to be able to order her repeat prescription at the touch of a button!
If you would like support to complete any of the courses please contact Kathryn 07592003595 or Fran 07743687053
If you're already quite computer savvy you can go straight to the NHS website https://www.nhs.uk/ there you can find an absolute wealth of health and wellbeing information, from managing long term conditions, checking symptoms, treatmemts, information to support your mental health, fun apps and interactive
features. Why not have a go yourself?
