Hi Ho Hi Ho it’s off to Bolling Hall we go! The walkers hit Bolling hall museum then Bowling park rounded off by a picnic and a mile!
Who would have thought so much history, nature and open green spaces is right on our doorstep.

Wellbeing walkers met at the Centre, had a brew and planed how the days adventure would flow.
Our adventure began by meeting at Bolling Hall Museum and looking around the different rooms. Everything looked so real and being in the moment of 14th Century onwards. You shared how people were smaller in those times by the length of the beds and heights of certain things. Also no carpets anywhere just stone floors, "aren't we lucky in this day and age."
Can safely share that everyone got their 20 minute movement by exploring the museum, going up and down the many stairs. Fun was had with some been creative with arts and crafts. Dressing up in the gowns and many were surprised how the toilet was a hole in the floor behind a curtain with the ghost making an appearance. "Maybe wanting some privacy."
One of the attendants shared how he had seen the ghosts over the past 25 years of working there.
We took a stroll over to Bowling Park and everyone enjoyed a picnic with some sharing their goodies. Talking, laughter and memories were shared. Even the squirrels came to check out the picnic and took a pringle or two.
This is what you told us
Dian I have never been before and I have lived around here a long time, the walk was good too. We laughed a lot.
Christabel It was nice to get out in the fresh air and it didn't feel like I was exercising just having fun learning new things.
Dee Nice to see so many people come together and supporting each other to make sure the trip was suitable for all...West End Team Spirit.
Hugh Not a place I have been before, and I would not have gone on my own, since I joined the centre I have been to a lot of new places and made a lot of new friends
C I liked the fact that you could walk the daily mile or just have a wander and a seat was suitable for all, interesting and fun day out, lovely group of people....Thanks!
Some of the group decided they had done enough movement for the day while been at the museum and park. Those that had plenty of energy left walked the Daily mile around the park and always time for a go on the zip swing which caused a lot of laughter. While the rest relaxed in the café enjoyed a natter. Over 20,000 plus steps where walked over the days adventure!
