A trip out to Bradford Industrial Museum with the West End Walkers to see the Good Yarn Exhibition.
Meeting at the centre and travelling by bus we had a 15 minute walk to the museum, we were that busy talking we forgot to monitor our steps!! but any extra steps is all good!
We found out that the museum was inside Moorside Mill which used to be a Worsted Mill. The Museum includes transport, textile machinery and you can experience what houses were like in different eras, we even saw the outside toilets, which was a bit of a surprise to our younger walkers! The museum is also home to the Good Yarn Exhibition for part of the Bradford City of Culture. A gigantic ball of yarn three meters high and wide, its a site to be seen and made up of pieces of fabric.

Dian - I've lived in Bradford all my life and I have never been here, so good going to new places, getting more walks in to a place I wouldn't have gone without my West End friends.
Razina - I really liked it, looking at the old machines, my dad used to work in the mill on machines.
Darragh - Nice to be able to look at all the history and follow a time line
Becky - Nice to look at the houses was like been frozen in time, was very surprised the toilets were outside
David - my first visit enjoyed everything, an extra 4500 steps done for me extra exercise, getting out more really helps me.
If you would like to take part in one of our walking outings call into the centre or call us on 07503184713.
