West End Walkers: Building steps through science, media and time

Thank you to the National Science and Media Museum

 We had so much fun while building our steps ( over 34,000 steps between us ) while building confidence getting out and about. Below is just a snippet of what we enjoyed!

Wonderlab | National Science and Media Museum, Bradford moving around the interactive stations, of how sound travels within vibration. The power of mirrors and if we could walk through the maze. Good to know that the maze were completed without bumps and grazes but lots of laughter were shared.

Sound and Vision | National Science and Media Museum Moving around and laughing at the angles of the camera taking images of the group. Many steps and laughter were enjoyed without even realising it.- Confidence began to flourish with the interactive broadcasting studio.

Kodak Gallery | National Science and Media Museum   Looking at how for technology has grown and how we appreciate the here and now. Also increasing our steps while having fun moving around the museum.

Laughs, conversations, movement and many steps were done without even realizing. Everyone shared how they would like to visit again in the future . Would you like to Join us?

·        Darragh- had an amazing time. Adventure, laughter and I didn’t keep still, just so much to see and do. Really enjoyed the broadcasting studio and the Cottingley Faries.

·       BH- Took a leap of faith going out on a trip and I really enjoyed it. So much fun and surprised how many steps I got in. Made new friends and got to know people more. I’m very proud of myself and thank you for this opportunity. I would not have got on a bus without you·

        RA- So much fun with everyone. Enjoyed everything

·        DG- got so much from today and we had fun while moving around the Media Museum. I would like to go back again.

·        DW – Been before but really enjoyed being with everyone today.

H- Its just great been able to get out with others and helps me get out of the house and be more mobile.

CH- Good to get out and be with others.

D- I wasn’t sure how this trip would go but everyone stepped out of their comfort zone, So much laughter, moving around the building getting steps in without even thinking about it.
