When asking the allotment group what activities they wanted to do one of the old favorites came up- seed bomb making! We are not sure if it's the messy mud pies or the throwing of the seed bombs but it always causes a lot of laughter. We make wildflower seed bombs every spring to spread some colour around the areas we live in. So last week we had our annual session, everyone enjoyed getting stuck in and it even inspired Margaret to write a poem.
Balls By Margaret
You get the earth
and then the clay
you add the water
and start to play
you get it sticky
and really thick
don't forget to take
the worms and stones out of it
you roll it up into a ball
cover it with seeds and
fling it over a wall!
