حساء الحمص والسبانخ والبطاطا الحلوة المغربي

A trip to Morocco in cooking group today,  making a completely new dish using some cupboard staples and on a budget.  The dish is vegetarian but you could add meat if you wanted to Chicken or Lamb would work well.  Moroccan sweet potato, chickpea and spinach stew with couscous.

All of the group mucked in and did the prep and cooking of this dish, the aroma made the tastebuds tingle.

Everyone that ate this dish said they really enjoyed it and said they would definitely cook this at home, some people had two servings as it was so tasty .

Others suggested adding meat and apricots.

K: A real winter warmer , budget friendly , can add meat if you like but it was nice just as it was
R: A perfect dish for a winters day, something I would be definitely make this again
S: This recipe is really good as you can use foods that are already in your cupboard and you can also add any leftovers from the fridge i.e peppers
Hugh: I enjoy coming to the cooking group to try new things , it gets me out of the house and I can have a catch up with my friends

Want to try this at home use the link below for the recipe.

Our next cooking group is on Thursday 25th September when we will be travelling to China together to cook and eat a vegetable chow mein. If you are interested in joining us call into the centre or give us a ring 07592003595 to book your place.
