Great British Spring Clean comes to Little Horton!

Our Litter Heroes, The West End Litter Warriors were out in the local area this morning with Yorkshire Man Dan and Scruff doing their bit for the Keep Britain Tidy Great British Spring Clean.
A circular tour around the centre collecting litter, 15 bags in total! What a difference it really has made to the area.
Litter picking is not just about collecting the rubbish, it is also about people coming together to take pride in the area, get a good dose of fresh air, meet new people and some gentle exercise. It was lovely when people from the local community came out to say hello and also thanked us for tidying the area.
The allotment volunteers had made some seed bombs which we fired out around the area, so we should see some wild flowers growing around the area.
Mick told us it was nice to have a reason to come out of the house, to do something useful, enjoyed the fresh air and be with good people.
