From plot to plate
We are finally all organised for our plant sale next Thursday, so we decided to have a treat and cook a tasty lunch together at the allotment using some of the produce that was ready.
Dan sent everyone off on a foraging trip around our plots. We collected broad beans, herbs, chives, onions, salad leaves, radishes, garlic and a leek.
These mixed together with a dash of shared knowledge and a sprinkling of added ingredients made us a potato salad, vegetable biryani and a mixed salad. Delicious and nutritious!
We can't be good all the time though, It's K's birthday at the weekend so we had a celebration with a cake made by Mona, Happy Birthday K.
