The Pick and Mix Variety Group were out galivanting again yesterday. It's our favourite festive trip, the one we look forward to every year, The Christmas Tree Festival at St James Church in Thornton.
Over 40 trees beautifully decorated by various charities to visit, a Christmas shop with a great selection of homemade items, a tombola (a favourite by all) and the café with homemade cakes yummy, what's not to like?
Carol told us "This is by far my favourite trip out and I look forward to it every year, it's my birthday on Sunday and in the café I always treat myself to a hot chocolate with all the trimmings and a slice of homemade cake! I love going on trips with the Pick and Mix Group, such a lovely bunch and we always have plenty to laugh about! Will be back again next year"
Lorraine told us "The trip to the trees is really lovely, I enjoy coming here as part of this group, it's our treat we do it every year. I like to support the animal charities and the lovely tombola. The people are so lovely and always remember us"
