Our walk and talk group took a trip to Shibden Park in Halifax on Monday, Luckily the weather was kind to us and we all had a fantastic day.
We started off with a group walk around the lake and then 5 of us took off for a hike up Beacon Hill. The Beacon has overlooked Halifax for centuries, A Beacon burned in 1588 to warn people the Spanish Armada was on its way!. It was a hot uphill pull to get to the top but we were rewarded with absolutely stunning views! Downhill was much easier, all the way to the café where we met up with the rest of the group for lunch.
If you would like to join our Walk and Talk group , we meet Mondays and Fridays at 10am at the Beacon Road Entrance of Wibsey Park. We are a friendly group and you will be made more than welcome.
