Wow , what a success our Pot Luck Party has been today. Nearly 50 people turned out to help us celebrate 25 years of the National Lottery, most people brought a dish of food to share, ranging from homemade quiches, pastries, pakoras, Spanish potatoes, biscuits, buns, tarts and so much more. As usual our eyes were bigger than our bellies and now we need a little nap!
Sallie, Kim and Sue did a great job with the games, we had the mummy game (dressing people up in loo roll!) pass the parcel, blindfold cotton wool ball game a raffle and pass the balloon, everyone is still giggling about it.
The change station in reception was popular with those wanting advice to improve their health, manage a long term condition or stay well this winter, lots of people took away information to share with friends and family.
A huge thankyou to everyone who came today, to our wonderful volunteers for helping out, to everyone for joining in and giving us all a great chance to share food and laughter with our community, also a huge thankyou to the National Lottery players for contributing around 30 million to good causes every week, like us!!
