We have a great record here at the West End Centre of supporting people back into work, but we must say a massive well done to Abdul Basit, the first of our English for Improvers group to find full time employment.
The English for Improvers group was set up late last year for learners with very low levels of English to improve their speaking, listening, reading and writing in a fun and friendly group. It teaches functional skills (so things that are important for getting by in day to day life) We have covered all about us, using public services, using the NHS, managing minor illness, shopping , our skills, and were halfway through our finding employment module when we got the news! so well done Abdul, we are chuffed to bits for you and we hope you enjoy working at the bakery.
