Wildflower Chaos

A word from our very own Yorkshire Man Dan!

The wildflower garden at St Oswald’s has gone mad! It’s crawling with Wildlife and flowers. I can see bees, hoverflies, wasps and solitary wasps everywhere and a few insects I cannot identify! And that’s just on the surface.

The number of flowers is fantastic, I’ll try list a few. I can see Ox Eye Daisies, Giant Clover, Flowering Nettle, Fox Gloves, Rose Bay, Willow Herb, Wild Carrot, Cow Parsley, Ragwort, Plantain, Buttercup, Corn Cockles, 5 different types of thistles and more I don’t even remember the name of. Needless to say, the wildflower garden is a massive success.

In the next few weeks, we are going to be doing a pollinator count for the UK Pollinator Monitoring Scheme, so watch this space, I predict it will be a very high count for a Bradford Project.

We would all like to say a big thank you to St Oswald’s Church for allowing us to take over their garden to create this wildflower space for all the community and wildlife to enjoy! This all helps to save our planet.
