Dan’s allotmenteers found themselves very busy today, we received a delivery from Sam who has kindly donated wood for the allotment. We used a human chain to transfer the wood up to our Allotment, great team work by all we were definitely ready for a cuppa!
Rest of the day was spent planting, planting and more planting making sure we have enough plants for our annual plant sale. More details to follow.
We all received a lesson on how to water different parts of the allotment to ensure beds are watered thoroughly but pots aren’t swimming in water.
In the background we could hear the Cockerels making a whole load of noise for a neighbouring allotment. It didn’t feel like we were in the centre of Bradford more like out in the countryside.
Kevin has only been with us for a few weeks and he told us that “I really like the social side of the allotment and makes me feel very happy and that I am contributing towards the community”
