Our brain is the most complex thing in the universe. It’s what makes you ... you. Billions of cells working together to control your emotions, memories, movement and speech. But many of us take our brains for granted. We spend a lot of time protecting other areas of our health we often forget about the brain, we can take simple steps to keep our brains healthy.

We are always looking for new ways to keep ourselves healthy at the centre from board games, card games, quizzes, puzzles, chair exercises, dancing, arts and crafts, a good natter with old and new friends over a cuppa and not forgetting our allotment groups.
We also run an online quiz on our Whatsapp group on a Tuesday evening at 7pm, a good way to stretch the old grey matter, have a catch up and always good for a laugh. The subject varies and this week was general knowledge, try a few of these questions out!
1. What name is shared by an English town, a racecourse and a card game?
2. Which 'C" are the smallest blood vessels in the body?
3. For which war was the first Victoria Cross awarded retrospectively? .
4. Gary Brooker is the lead singer of which English rock band?
Food plays a big part to in all we do and brings us altogether. We know how important breakfast is so we offer toast in a morning to have with your cuppa. We run an internet cafe on Tuesday with our legendary home made soup, Wednesday is our community two course lunch club and on a Thursday we also have a cafe.
