Artist Richard is on the big screen
We are really pleased and proud to tell you that friend of the West End Centre Richard Mort's work is set to feature in the Not Just Hockney presentation which showcases the work of local artists on the City Park screen.
Throughout July and August the theme will be local portrait artists and Richard is one of six to be involved.
Richard Mort is a painter who has lived in Bradford since 1977. He worked in textile design for many years until he became a freelance artist in 2006.
His subjects include abstract works, often involving multiple canvases, as well as portraiture. Richard’s work has been shown in group and solo shows across the district, including at local libraries, the Saltaire Arts Trail, and the South Square Art Centre, Thornton.
Richards portrait of the queen was displayed at the centre as part of her 90th Birthday Celebrations.
The not just Hockney exhibition runs every day from 12.30pm on the big screen in Centenary Square
The West End Centre has a Friendly art group which will restart in the not too distant future- we will keep you posted. For more information contact Kathryn 07592003595 or Fran 07743687053
