Poppies past and present

Each year Remembrance Sunday is an important event in the West End Centre Calendar. In October we start making poppies and each year try to make our display in the Church bigger and better than ever. The poppy making sessions are always a fun way to come together and have a good laugh thinking up new and inventive ways to make poppies as well as discussing the parts our relatives played in the wars and remembering the fallen.

As with many things we have had to do things rather differently this year, we delivered out poppy making packs into the community and collected the hundreds of lovely poppies people made. Our tree of hope has now been transformed into our poppy tree- it looks amazing don't you agree?
